New Territory Sales Manager joins Dechra Ireland

Leading veterinary products firm Dechra has appointed a new Territory Sales Manager for Northern Ireland and the northern counties of the Republic of Ireland.

Stephen McCaffrey, who brings a wealth of experience in animal health to the role, takes over from Ivan Alcorn, who has retired. The psychology graduate has a strong background in sales and has particular experience in the companion animal and trauma sector.

A Belfast native, who now lives in Carrickfergus, Stephen will provide a strategic link between the pharmaceutical firm and veterinary surgeries, provide  support and up to date product knowledge.

Alison Casey, Dechra’s Business Development Manager Ireland, said: “I am delighted that Dechra has secured the appointment of someone with such vast experience in fields that will directly support the day to day practice of veterinary professionals. Stephen’s appointment comes at an exciting time as we have recently expanded our portfolio in the Republic of Ireland.”

Stephen, who holds a HND in sales, said he was looking forward to his new role. “I joined Dechra because I wanted to work in animal health for a company with a good range of innovative products and a good company ethos. I like the Dechra values and this attracted me to the organisation. I’m looking forward to getting out and about in Northern Ireland and Ireland and meeting our customers.”
